Sustainability
Responsibly sourced. Designed for everyday use. Built to last.
We will ensure a development that meets today's needs without destroying opportunities for future generations to meet their needs.
Our approach is built on responsible product stewardship. This means taking responsibility for quality, product safety, material choices, traceability and working conditions throughout the value chain. We work systematically to ensure that our products are designed for everyday use, built to last, and produced with respect for people and the environment.
Homeco's sustainability work is guided by our double materiality assessment, regulatory developments and internationally recognised frameworks, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP), the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and relevant EU sustainability legislation.
We believe that responsible business is closely linked to long-term profitability, trust and risk management. Therefore, sustainability is integrated into our core processes — from product development and sourcing to logistics, compliance, customer information and supplier follow-up.
We also recognise that customers increasingly want to make more informed and responsible purchasing decisions, but often experience sustainability information as fragmented, technical or difficult to navigate. Our ambition is therefore to make it easier for customers to choose products with documented quality, safety and sustainability characteristics, both online and in store.
As part of this work, Homeco prioritises recognised third-party certifications, testing schemes and independent verification systems across relevant product categories and raw materials. Certifications and external standards play an important role in strengthening transparency, improving traceability and providing customers with more reliable and comparable information. They also help ensure that environmental and social requirements are followed consistently throughout the value chain.
Through clear requirements, continuous improvement and close collaboration with suppliers and partners, we commit to strengthen transparency, reduce environmental impact and ensure safe and responsible products for everyday cooking and living.
