Tilbords is Norway's leading interior and kitchenware chain in stores and online, and has been responsible for gathering people around the table since the 50s.
Tilbords
Their concept dates back to 1954, when the family business, Peter M. Kolderup, was established as an importer of porcelain. The company's beautiful and exclusive products quickly became popular, leading other merchants to join together to sell their products. By 1976, these formed the humble beginnings of Tilbords as we know it today: Trendy and traditional gifts, wedding gift registries, and inspiration for creating a home to be proud of. Tilbords has everything you need to welcome guests to your table.
The Tilbords Foundation has defined environmental initiatives as a focal area, and its purpose is to create opportunities for society's most vulnerable groups. They support the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature, Good Hope Village, Pippi of Today, and the Gold Ribbon and Pink Ribbon campaigns of the Norwegian Childhood Cancer Society and the Norwegian Cancer Society, respectively.
In 2018, Tilbords was acquired by Homeco, including the wholesaler Modern House, and both the head office and wholesaler moved from Bergen to Sandnes and Bryne.
